Here is a handwritten and dated recipe for something called “Blackberry Acid”. I’m a fan of blackberry jelly and blackberry wine but am at a loss as to the utility of blackberry acid.
I can’t tell if it requires one pound or “12″ pounds of fruit in the first line. Quite a large distinction. Picking even one pound of blackberries is drudgery much less 12 lbs.
It’s 12 lbs. Friends that is a lot of blackberries.
